Here are a few words from someone I am helping right now:

Driving lessons are not just for people who haven't passed their test. I passed mine some 25 years ago. Over the years I gradually stopped doing motorways as I didn't enjoy the speed, stopped doing major dual carriageways and in the last 10 years have had immense problems going through the Mersey tunnels. I had panic attack upon panic attack. I had cognitive behavioural therapy and 2 hypnotherapists, all of whom where unable to help me. I often thought about taking driving lessons but couldn't find a suitable instructor and then Mark's leaflet came through my door. We started lessons in his car, doing the tunnels which was the thing I wanted to get over most. Whilst I felt I was panicking, his very calm manner helped immensley. Of course he had dual controls but the fact that he never needed to use them gave me immense confidence. He was very patient, never getting annoyed at me panicking yet again. At times when I needed it, he would take my mind off whatever was panicking me. He always gave me the full lesson, I have never had a short lesson yet. He always gives full instructions so you know exactly what you should be doing and when, his timing of these instructions is impeccible. Within a few weeks, we moved to my car to make sure I would be able to do the tunnels in my car as well. I was absolutely delighted a couple of weeks ago to tell him that not only had I driven through the tunnel by myself but that I had driven to Preston and back. This is a mean feat for someone who has not driven anywhere apart from north Wirral for years.
